Description
The Sculptured chiton is a marine mollusk species found in the Eastern Atlantic, the Mediterranean, and the Black Sea. It is characterized by its oval shape, dark brown color, and the presence of radial ribs and sculptured scales on its dorsal shell. It is usually found in rocky habitats, from the intertidal zone to depths of up to 200 meters.
