Southern Feather Star [Neogymnocrinus subnodosus]

Description
Neogymnocrinus subnodosus, or the southern feather star, is another species of crinoid found primarily in the southern Atlantic Ocean. It favors deep, rocky habitats and is known for its characteristic feather-like arms which it uses for filter feeding. The arms are generally pale in color, often with a slightly pink or purple hue. Like other species in its genus, it is sessile and remains attached to the sea floor. It is distinguishable by its smaller size and the subtle, circular nodes present on its arms.
