Description
Spiny Star Astraea is a marine gastropod mollusk in the family Turbinidae. It is characterized by its conical shell with a high spire, which is usually white or cream-colored with brown or black blotches. The whole surface of the shell is covered with strong, curved spines. This species is found in the tropical Western Pacific, from Indonesia to northern Australia, and is commonly found on coral reefs at depths of up to 20 meters.
