Tasselled Wobbegong [Eucrossorhinus dasypogon]

Description
The Tasselled Wobbegong is a carpet shark in the family Orectolobidae. It is found in shallow coral reefs off northern Australia and New Guinea. The species is recognized by a fringe of dermal lobes around its head, which include a 'beard' of longer lobes around its mouth. It is a bottom-dweller, with a broad and flattened body ideal for camouflage. It is primarily nocturnal, lying in wait to ambush its prey. The species can grow up to 99 cm for males and 118 cm for females.
