Vema's Deep Sea Squid [Histioteuthis vema]

Description
A species of squid found in the deep waters of the Atlantic Ocean around the Vema Seamount. It is a medium-sized squid, with a mantle length of up to 30 cm. The squid is bioluminescent, with light-producing organs called photophores located on its tentacles and mantle. It is a pelagic species, living in the open ocean.
