Chirodectes [Chirodectes]

Description
Chirodectes is a genus within the family Chirodropidae, known for its members' complex and potent venom. Unlike other box jellyfish, this genus is characterized by a unique arrangement of tentacles and nematocysts, specialized cells for delivering venom. They inhabit primarily the Indo-Pacific region. Their venom can cause severe pain to humans, but instances of envenomation are rare compared to other box jellyfish genera.
