These marine creatures have a cube-shaped medusa, with four distinct sides, and tentacles that can extend up to 3 meters in length. The genus is notorious for its potent venom, which can cause severe pain, paralysis, and even death in humans. Chironex fleckeri, one of the species in this genus, is particularly well-known for causing fatalities in Australian waters.
