Description
Erpocotyle tiburonis is a species of monogenean in the family Hexabothriidae. It is known to parasitize the gill filaments of the bonnethead shark, Sphyrna tiburo. The species is distinguished by its haptor, which is divided into two symmetrical halves, each with two clamps of different sizes. It is found in the Atlantic Ocean, particularly in the Gulf of Mexico.
