Description
Black Beaked Whale, also known as the Lesser Beaked Whale or the Small Four-Toothed Whale, is the smallest species in the Berardius genus, reaching lengths of about 6.9 meters. They are found in the North Pacific Ocean, specifically in the waters off the northernmost Japanese island of Hokkaido. They have a distinctive black or dark gray color and a smaller, sleeker body compared to other Berardius species. Their diet primarily consists of squid and small fish.
