European Horned Pondweed [Zannichellia pedicellata]

Description
The European Horned Pondweed is native to Europe and parts of Asia. It is typically found in brackish water bodies, such as estuaries and coastal lagoons, but can also be found in freshwater habitats. Like its American counterpart, this species is characterized by its horn-like projections. However, the European Horned Pondweed has a more robust growth habit and can form dense mats of vegetation under ideal conditions. This species is also a popular choice for aquatic gardening due to its attractive appearance.
