Indian Electric Ray [Heteronarce bentuviai]

Description
The Indian Electric Ray, or Heteronarce bentuviai, is a species of numbfish in the family Narkidae. It is found in the northwestern Indian Ocean, including the Arabian Sea and the Gulf of Oman. It resides in depths of 70–200 m over mud or sand bottoms. Like other members of its family, the Indian Electric Ray is capable of generating a powerful electric shock for prey capture and self-defense. It has a thick, heart-shaped pectoral fin disc and a short, stout tail.
