Oblique-lined Cowfish [Notesthes robusta]

Description
The Oblique-lined Cowfish, also known as the Buffalo Cowfish, is a species of boxfish endemic to the coastal waters of southern Australia. It is typically found in rocky reefs and seagrass beds at depths from 3 to 50 meters. This species measures up to 50 cm in length, and it is recognized by its angular, box-like shape, large ventral and dorsal fins, and distinctive oblique lines across its body. The coloration is usually a mottled green, brown, or yellow. Like other boxfish, it is capable of releasing a toxic substance when stressed.
