Pacific Eelgrass [Zostera japonica]

Description
An eelgrass species native to the coastal waters of the north Pacific Ocean. It is found from the intertidal zone to depths of up to 5 meters. Its leaves are narrow (2-4mm) and short, making it less conspicuous than some other eelgrass species. It serves as a crucial nursery habitat for a number of fish species.
