Description
Smooth Flutemouth, also known as the Longface pipefish, is a large species of marine fish in the family Fistulariidae. It is widespread throughout the tropical waters of the Indo-Pacific area, including the Red Sea. They are nocturnal feeders, primarily eating small invertebrates such as shrimps and small fishes. They are characterized by a long, slim, grey to greenish body with tiny scales, a depressed snout, and a large mouth.
