Stalked Sea Pen [Virgularia juncea]

Description
The Stalked Sea Pen, also known as the Slender Sea Pen, is found in the Northeast Atlantic and Mediterranean Sea. They have a long, slim, cylindrical stalk with small polyps. They are a benthic species, inhabiting soft, muddy seabeds and are often partially buried in the sediment. They have a bioluminescent ability, glowing when disturbed.
