Sea Pens [Pennatula]

Description
Pennatula, commonly known as sea pens, are a genus of colonial marine cnidarians. They are named for their resemblance to quill pens due to their elongated, feather-like appearance. These organisms anchor themselves in soft-bottom substrates, extending their polyps to feed on plankton. They can display a variety of colors, including pink, red, and orange, and are capable of bioluminescence, emitting light when disturbed.
