Bobtail Squids [Rossia]

Bobtail Squids
Description

Rossia is a genus of small, deep-sea dwelling cephalopods within the family Sepiolidae, often referred to as bobtail squids. Unlike their shallow-water relatives, species in this genus are adapted to life in deeper, darker parts of the ocean. They have a more robust body and larger eyes to navigate and hunt in the low-light conditions. Rossia species are primarily found in the Atlantic Ocean, ranging from the Arctic to tropical regions.
