Description

Neorossia is a genus within the family Sepiolidae, representing a group of bobtail squids. These species are recognized for their slightly elongated bodies and moderate-sized fins. Neorossia squids are typically found in deeper waters than many of their relatives, dwelling in the Atlantic and parts of the Indo-Pacific regions. They possess adaptations for life in deeper, darker environments, including large eyes for enhanced vision in low light.
