Glass Squid [Notonykia]

Description
Notonykia, also known as Glass Squids, are a genus within the Onychoteuthidae family, distinguished by their nearly transparent bodies which provide effective camouflage in the deep sea. These squids have small fins and a semi-elongated mantle. Notonykia species possess a unique set of bioluminescent organs, which they presumably use for communication and attracting prey in their dark, pelagic environments. Their arms and tentacles bear a mix of suckers and hooks, aiding in the capture of prey.
