Thread Hornwort [Ceratophyllum demersum]

Description
Ceratophyllum demersum, commonly known as Thread Hornwort, is a submersed aquatic plant that grows in still or slow-moving water. It is characterized by its thin, forked leaves that resemble green threads. It is a hardy plant that can tolerate a wide range of water conditions, but prefers nutrient-rich water. It is free-floating, with no roots, and reproduces both sexually and asexually. In addition to being a popular choice for aquariums, it also provides habitat for many aquatic animals and helps to clarify water by absorbing excess nutrients.
