Purple Planarian [Planocera reticulata]
Description
The Purple Planarian is native to the Pacific Ocean, particularly around Japan. The species is distinguished by its large size compared to other planarians, reaching lengths of up to 10 cm. They are a deep purple color, with a lighter, patterned underside. They are nocturnal predators, feeding on a variety of smaller marine organisms.
