Large Violet Snail [Janthina pallida]
Description
The Large Violet Snail, Janthina pallida, is a species of sea snail that floats at the sea surface on a raft of bubbles. The shell is a vibrant violet color and can grow up to 30mm in length. It inhabits warmer oceans across the world and feeds primarily on free-floating hydrozoans.
