Description
Larval Cranch squid is a small species with a mantle length of 2 cm. It has a pair of long, slender tentacles and 8 shorter arms. The squid is characterized by its large eyes and the presence of photophores on the tentacles and viscera. It is found in the Atlantic and Indian Oceans, inhabiting the mesopelagic zone.
