Reticulate Chiton [Lepidozona retiporosa]

Description
The Reticulate Chiton, or Lepidozona retiporosa, is a marine species endemic to the waters around New Zealand. It inhabits rocky substrates in the lower intertidal and subtidal zones. The species is distinguished by a characteristic reticulated pattern on its shell plates and a broad, oval shape. It is known to feed on red and brown algae.
