Rough Chiton [Lepidozona radians]

Description
Known as the Rough Chiton, Lepidozona radians is a marine species found along the West Coast of North America, from British Columbia to Baja California. This species is found in the intertidal zone on rocky substrates. It is characterized by its rough-textured shell plates and can range in color from brown to black. The Rough Chiton feeds on algae and is primarily nocturnal.
