Description
The Lesser Tusk Shell is a smaller species of the Scaphopod family, typically measuring between 2 to 4 cm in length. This marine species is usually found at depths ranging from 50 to 200 meters. Its shell is cylindrical and curved, resembling an elephant's tusk, and it can be distinguished by the fine, horizontal striations on its surface. The Lesser Tusk Shell is also a detritivore, feeding on organic particles from the seafloor.
