Description
The tropical tusk shell is a species of marine scaphopod mollusk in the family Dentaliidae. It is found in warm tropical waters and has a long, white, cylindrical shell that tapers to a point. The shell is smooth with no sculpturing, and the animal itself is a deposit feeder, consuming organic particles it finds in the sand.
