Blunt Moon Snail [Glossaulax planispira]

Description
The Blunt Moon Snail is a marine gastropod mollusk that belongs to the Naticidae family. It inhabits the waters of the Indo-West Pacific, from East Africa to the Philippines and northern Australia. This species is found in sandy or muddy substrates at depths of 10 to 150 meters. It is a predatory gastropod, feeding mainly on bivalves. The shell is globular, thin but strong, with a bluntly rounded spire and a wide umbilicus. The color of the shell is often cream or pale yellow, with or without brownish streaks.
