Description
Dana's squid is a small species with a mantle length of approximately 2 cm. It has 8 arms and a pair of tentacles with a distinctive club shape. It is found in the Atlantic and Indian Oceans, inhabiting the mesopelagic zone. Its most distinctive feature is its photophores, which emit light and are found on the tentacles and around the eyes.
