Giant Dentalium [Coccodentalium gianteum]
Description
The Giant Dentalium is characterized by its large and curved shell, which is a creamy white color. It can be found in the waters off the coast of New Zealand, living in depths of up to 1500 meters. This species of Dentalium burrows into the sandy seafloor, where it feeds on detritus.
