Painted Chiton [Notched Chitons pictus]

Description
The Painted Chiton is known for its brightly colored girdle, which can be orange, yellow, or red. Its shell plates are typically gray or brown, but can also exhibit bright colors. It inhabits rocky substrates in the intertidal and subtidal zones, and feeds on algae.
