Description
Doryteuthis gahi, commonly known as the Patagonian Squid, is a medium-sized squid found in the Southwestern Atlantic Ocean and the Southeastern Pacific Ocean. It is commercially harvested, mainly in the Falkland Islands. This species is characterized by a slender and elongated body, reaching a maximum mantle length of 30 cm. Adults are usually found in deeper waters, while juveniles inhabit shallow waters. Its diet mainly consists of small fish and other squids.
