Ladoga Seal [Pusa hispida ladogensis]

Description
The Ladoga Seal is a subspecies of the Ringed Seal found only in Lake Ladoga in northwestern Russia. This freshwater seal has a light gray coat with dark spots. The Ladoga Seal is solitary and feeds on a variety of fish. The population is relatively stable but threats include habitat degradation and bycatch in fishing nets.
