Description
Euprymna is a genus of small cephalopods in the family Sepiolidae known as bobtail squids. These squids are characterized by a rounded body and a short mantle. They possess the ability to bury themselves in the seafloor and are known for their symbiotic relationship with bioluminescent bacteria, which they use for counterillumination to avoid predators. The genus is found in shallow waters of the Indo-Pacific region.
