Japanese Pygmy Squid [Idiosepius pygmaeus]

Description
The Japanese Pygmy Squid is a small cephalopod species found in the western Pacific Ocean, specifically around Japan and the Korean Peninsula. The maximum length is about 1.5 cm. They live in shallow coastal waters and are known for their excellent camouflage abilities. They can change their body color and pattern rapidly to blend in with their environment. The females of this species lay their eggs in the cavities of dead shells or in between the spines of sea urchins.
