Banana Squid [Uroteuthis chinensis]

Description
Uroteuthis chinensis, commonly known as the Banana Squid, is a species of squid in the family Loliginidae. They have a slender, elongated body shape with a characteristic 'banana' curve. They are typically yellowish in color with varying degrees of translucency. They inhabit tropical and subtropical waters in the Indo-Pacific region, particularly in the East China Sea and the Yellow Sea. They are nocturnal creatures, spending the day in deeper waters and rising to shallower levels at night to feed. They are distinguished by their long, thin tentacles and a large, paddle-shaped fin that extends over most of the body length.
