Description
The Common Bobtail Squid is found in the Mediterranean Sea and the northeastern Atlantic Ocean, from the British Isles to Senegal. It reaches a maximum mantle length of 50 mm and is known for its robust shape. It is a nocturnal species, spending the day buried in sand or mud and hunting small invertebrates at night. It is capable of changing its color and pattern to match its surroundings.
