Furry Chiton [Mopalia hindsii]

Description
Mopalia hindsii, known as the Furry Chiton, is a marine mollusk found in the intertidal zones of Northern California to Baja California. It is distinguished by its oval shape and dense tuft of bristles along the edges. The color of the shell plates can vary, but they are often gray or brown. M. hindsii is nocturnal and feeds primarily on algae and detritus.
