Ross Seal [Ommatophoca rossii]

Description
Ross Seals are the smallest species in the family of true seals. They are known for their distinctive features - small size, short snout, and large eyes. They are generally solitary animals and inhabit the pack ice of Antarctica. Ross seals are not particularly gregarious and are often found alone, both in the water and on ice. They feed primarily on squid and fish, diving to depths of up to 800 meters in search of prey.
