Eared Seals [Otariidae]

Description

Otariidae, also known as eared seals or fur seals and sea lions, are characterized by their external ear flaps, a more dog-like appearance compared to true seals, and the ability to walk on all fours due to their flexible flippers. They are found in coastal waters of the northern and southern hemispheres, with a diet mainly consisting of fish and squid. Members of this family are more social and vocal compared to other seals, often seen in large colonies.
